This is how the webshop works

In the webshop you can purchase all types of tickets for:

  • Skyss buses in Vestland
  • The Bergen Light Rail
  • All boats in Vestland
  • Local train between Bergen and Voss.

You decide the start time for when the ticket will be valid. You can also buy combination tickets for boat/bus for Hordaland.

Where is the ticket?
When you purchase a single ticket or a 24-hour ticket, you can choose to tie the ticket to your Skyss travel card, send it via SMS or email, or print it on paper. When you purchase a period ticket (7-, 30-, and 180-day) or a youth ticket in the online store, you need a Skyss travel card.

Buy a ticket for others
In the online store, you can also buy a single ticket or a 24-hour ticket for other people, such as children or family members. You can choose to link the ticket to a Skyss travel card (if they have one), send the ticket via SMS or email, or print it on paper.



Skyss travel card as a travel document

The Skyss travel card works as a travel document and you can use it on all journeys that you can purchase a ticket for in the webshop.

How to use your Skyss travel card

  • Create an account in the online shop and register your Skyss travel card here. 
  • Select the ticket you want to buy in the online shop. You decide the start time for when the ticket will be valid. The ticket will be tied to your Skyss travel card. 
  • Remember to bring our Skyss travel card when you travel.
  • If there is a ticket inspection, present your Skyss travel card and any discount documentation (e.g. student ID) to the ticket inspector. The Skyss travel card is linked to your account in the online shop, and the inspectors are able to verify that you have a valid ticket. You do not have to present your Skyss travel card to the driver/crew when you travel in Hordaland. When traveling in Sogn og Fjordane, you show your Skyss travel card to the driver/crew when you board.

Lost Skyss travel card

If you lose your Skyss travel card, here’s what you do:

  • Log in to the online shop and delete the Skyss travel card from your profile.
  • Order a new Skyss travel card and register this new card in the online shop once it arrives. You can then use this new Skyss travel card just like the last one.
  • While you wait for your new travel card, you must bring a receipt from the webshop as documentation of your valid ticket.

Webshop

You create an account the first time you use the shop. You can also use your existing Facebook or Google account to log in.

Yes, there is a flag where you can select your preferred language (Bokmål/Nynorsk/English)

Currently, it is not possible to get a parking permit for the park-and-ride through the webshop. If you have purchased a season ticket for zone A in the webshop, you can get a parking permit at our customer service center.

Skyss travel card

The webshop is a self-service portal, similar to the Skyss Ticket app. The driver has no way to check or correct tickets purchased through these channels. If you have questions before boarding, check skyss.no or contact the Skyss Customer Service Centre. We are happy to help.

Register your Skyss travel card in the webshop (enter the card number printed on the card), and you can start buying tickets for your Skyss travel card.

If you loose your Skyss travel card, you should log in to the webshop as soon as possible and delete the Skyss travel card from your profile. Any tickets you have bought will still be in the webshop, registered to your profile.

Order a new Skyss travel card and register this new card to your profile when it arrives. If you have a ticket you need to use before your new card arrives, you can use the receipt from the webshop as your documentation in a ticket inspection.

When it arrives, register it to your profile in the webshop, and then you can use it as documentation for your tickets. 

Kringom value card or season card can not be used in the webshop.

Purchasing tickets

In the webshop, you can purchase single fare tickets and season tickets for Skyss buses and boats in Vestland, Bergen Light Rail and local trains between Bergen and Voss. You can also purchase combination tickets for bus/boat travel in Hordaland. 

In order to buy season tickets, you need to use a Skyss travel card as your documentation.

If you buy a single fare ticket or 24-hour ticket, you can choose how you want your ticket issued:

  • To your Skyss travel card
  • Via text message (QR code)
  • Via e-mail (QR code)
  • Printout (QR code)

There is no special discount for using the webshop, but you do have access to all other types of discounts offered (concessionary discounts, student discounts, etc.)

Remember to always bring documentation that you qualify for the discount.

When you have selected your ticket type and preferred ticket method, it’s time to pay. Pay using a debit card or Vipps. Your card will be registered for your first purchase, and the app will remember it for next time.

Yes, you can pay for tickets using Vipps.

You can buy tickets for journeys up to 30 days in the future. When you buy a ticket, you specify the date and time for when it is valid.

Yes, you can buy a youth ticket in the webshop. Please remember that if your journey involves travel on buses outside the Skyss system (Kystbussen, Haukeliekspressen etc.), you need to bring a receipt for the ticket purchase. You can either print this or send it to yourself via e-mail from the webshop.

Yes, you can buy tickets for others by creating sub-users. Here, you can link other Skyss travel cards, belonging to children or other family members. Then, when you buy a ticket, you select their Skyss travel card under "delivery". You can also buy single fare tickets and send the ticket/give the ticket code to the person who is travelling. Please note that you can only register one Skyss travel card per user/sub-user.

You can buy as many tickets as you want, but there is a limit on how many places you can send each ticket.

No, as of yet it is not possible to buy round trip boat tickets in the webshop.

The webshop and the Skyss ticket app are two different systems. Tickets in the Skyss ticket app are not available in the webshop, and and tickets in the webshop are not available in the Skyss ticket app. 

In the webshop, you can choose to get a code as documentation of your ticket for single fare tickets and 24-hour tickets. Choose code as your preferred ticket method when you make your purchase. When you buy a season ticket, you need to use a Skyss travel card as your documentation.

Using tickets

The webshop will always display a list of the tickets you have purchased, but those that are still active, and past purchases.

Your ticket is in the webshop and your preferred ticket method, Skyss travel card, QR code or ticket code, is your proof of purchase. Remember to bring documentation that you qualify for any discounts you selected (student, concessionary ticket, etc.).

In Hordaland, you do not have to show your ticket to the driver/crew. When traveling by bus or boat in Sogn og Fjrodane, you show your valid travel document to the driver when you board.

Present your proof of ticket to the inspector (Skyss travel card, QR code, SMS or e-mail). The inspector will check with the webshop to verify that you have a valid ticket.

If you buy a ticket in the webshop and your journey includes other operators besides Skyss, you need to bring a receipt. You can either print this or send it to yourself from the webshop.
