This is how the webshop works
Purchase all types of tickets for Skyss buses in Vestland, Bergen Light Rail, all boats in Hordaland, boats in Sogn og Fjordane included in the zone system and local trains between Bergen And Voss. You can also purchase combination tickets for bus/boat travel in Hordaland.
Purchase single ticket and 24-hour season ticket: When you purchase a single ticket or a 24-hour season ticket, you can choose different methods for delivery of your ticket. Have it added to your Skyss Travelcard, have it delivered as a code via text message or e-mail, or print your ticket on paper.
Purchase season ticket: In order to purchase a 7-, 30- or 180-day season ticket or youth season ticket in the webshop, you need a Skyss Travelcard. The pass is added to your Skyss Travelcard, which serves as your travel document.
Purchase tickets for other people: In the webshop, you can also buy tickets for other people, such as children or other family members, and then “send” the ticket to their phone or give them the ticket code.
Using Skyss Travelcard as your travel document
Tickets purchased in the webshop are added to your Skyss Travelcard, and the Travelcard serves as your travel document. Use the Travelcard on journeys with all Skyss buses in Vestland, Bergen Light Rail, all boats in Hordaland, boats in Sogn og Fjordane included in the zone system and local trains between Bergen And Voss.
Kringom value cards and Kringom season tickets can not be used in the ticket webshop.
How to get a Skyss Travelcard
If you already have a Travelcard, it is easy to register your existing card in the webshop.

How do I access the webshop?
You create an account the first time you use the shop. You can also use your existing Facebook or Google account to log in.
Which types of tickets are available in the shop?
In the webshop, you can purchase single fare tickets and season tickets for Skyss buses in Vestland, Bergen Light Rail, all boats in Hordaland, boats in Sogn og Fjordane included in the zone system and local trains between Bergen And Voss. You can also purchase combination tickets for bus/boat travel in Hordaland.
In order to buy season tickets, you need to use a Skyss Travelcard as your documentation.
If you buy a single fare ticket or 24-hour ticket, you can choose how you want your ticket issued:
- To your Skyss Travelcard
- Via text message (QR code)
- Via e-mail (QR code)
- Printout (QR code)
Do I get a discount when I buy tickets in the webshop?
There is no special discount for using the webshop, but you do have access to all other types of discounts offered (concessionary discounts, student discounts, etc.)
Remember to always bring documentation that you qualify for the discount.
How do I pay?
When you have selected your ticket type and preferred ticket method, it’s time to pay. Pay using a debit card or Vipps. Your card will be registered for your first purchase, and the app will remember it for next time.
Can I pay using Vipps?
Yes, you can pay for tickets using Vipps.
How far ahead of time can I purchase my ticket?
You can buy tickets for journeys up to 30 days in the future. When you buy a ticket, you specify the date and time for when it is valid.
Can I buy a youth ticket in the webshop?
Yes, you can buy a youth ticket in the webshop. Please remember that if your journey involves travel on buses outside the Skyss system (Kystbussen, Haukeliekspressen etc.), you need to bring a receipt for the ticket purchase. You can either print this or send it to yourself via e-mail from the webshop.
Can I check my tickets from the webshop with the driver?
The webshop is a self-service portal, similar to the Skyss Ticket app. The driver has no way to check or correct tickets purchased through these channels. If you have questions before boarding, check skyss.no or contact the Skyss Customer Service Centre. We are happy to help.
Can I buy tickets for someone else in the webshop?
Yes, you can buy tickets for others by creating sub-users. Here, you can link other Skyss Travelcards, belonging to children or other family members. Then, when you buy a ticket, you select their Skyss Travelcard under "delivery". You can also buy single fare tickets and send the ticket/give the ticket code to the person who is travelling. Please note that you can only register one Skyss Travelcard per user/sub-user.
I want to use my old Skyss Travelcard in the webshop. What do I do?
Register your Skyss Travelcard in the webshop (enter the card number printed on the card), and you can start buying tickets for your Skyss Travelcard.
If you still have a Cash Travel balance from a previous purchase, you can still use this on boats in Hordaland. You can also get a refund by contacting the Skyss Customer Service Centre.
How many tickets can I buy?
You can buy as many tickets as you want, but there is a limit on how many places you can send each ticket.
Where can I find my tickets?
The webshop will always display a list of the tickets you have purchased, but those that are still active, and past purchases.
What do I do when I board a bus, Light rail or boat?
Your ticket is in the webshop and your preferred ticket method (Skyss Travelcard, QR code, ticket code) is your proof of purchase. Remember to bring documentation that you qualify for any discounts you selected (student, concessionary ticket, etc.).
In Hordaland, you do not have to show your ticket to the driver/crew or tap your card to a card reader. When traveling by bus or boat in Sogn og Fjrodane, you show your proof of purchase to the driver when you board.
What do I do if there is a ticket inspection?
Present your proof of ticket to the inspector (Skyss Travelcard, QR code, SMS or e-mail). The inspector will check with the webshop to verify that you have a valid ticket.
Where can I find information about age limits and discounts?
What do I present to the driver when I travel with express buses?
If you buy a ticket in the webshop and your journey includes other operators besides Skyss, you need to bring a receipt. You can either print this or send it to yourself from the webshop.
Can I get at parking permit in the webshop?
Currently, it is not possible to get a parking permit for the park-and-ride through the webshop. If you have purchased a season ticket for zone A in the webshop, you can get a parking permit at our customer service center.
When can I use a code as documentation of my ticket?
In the webshop, you can choose to get a code as documentation of your ticket for single fare tickets and 24-hour tickets. Choose code as your preferred ticket method when you make your purchase. When you buy a season ticket, you need to use a Skyss Travelcard as your documentation.
What if I loose my Skyss Travelcard?
If you loose your Skyss Travelcard, you should log in to the webshop as soon as possible and delete the Skyss Travelcard from your profile. Any tickets you have bought will still be in the webshop, registered to your profile.
Order a new Skyss Travelcard and register this new card to your profile when it arrives. If you have a ticket you need to use before your new card arrives, you can use the receipt from the webshop as your documentation in a ticket inspection.
I need another Skyss Travelcard, what do I do?
Order your Skyss Travelcard from skyss.no
When it arrives, register it to your profile in the webshop, and then you can use it as documentation for your tickets.
Is it possible to buy round trip boat tickets in the webshop?
No, as of yet it is not possible to buy round trip boat tickets in the webshop.
Is the webshop available in English?
Yes, there is a flag where you can select your preferred language (Bokmål/Nynorsk/English)
