Skyss Book-a-ride
With Skyss Book-a-Ride you can book some of your bus ride in advance.
Most journeys follow fixed routes at set times. However, some bus services in certain areas require you to book a seat in advance in order to travel. In some places, you can even book the bus, and it will come to pick you up and take you where you need to go within a defined area.

Book your journey using the Skyss app.
- Download the Skyss app from the App Store eller Google Play
- Carry out a journey search. If the route is marked Skyss Bestilling (book a ride), you can book it.
- Follow the instructions and book your journey directly in the Skyss app. You no longer need the Skyss Bestilling app.
- Remember to purchase a ticket in addition. You can do this in the same app under “Ticket”.

Once you have made a booking, you will receive information about the exact time you will be picked up.
If many people are travelling at the same time, there may be some waiting time. If you wish to travel on fixed days, you can book multiple journeys up to one month in advance.
Until further notice, you can also make bookings in the Skyss Bestilling (Book a ride) app and online. You will get the best overview of your journey by booking in the Skyss app.
