Corona virus: restrictions on payment/ ticket sales

In order to reduce the spread of the novel corona virus, the following measures have been implemented for payment and ticket sales:

Bus

Cash payment suspended on board all buses. This will apply until further notice.

For bus and Askøyruta (boat) tickets, we recommend using our Skyss Billett ticket app. You can connect several users to one account. Connected users (e.g. children) may pay their fare by charging to the main user (e.g. their mother’s/father’s) account. Adjust your settings in the Skyss Billett ticket app.

Boat:

Manual ticket sales suspended on boats. This will apply until further notice.

Buy your ticket in the Skyss Billett ticket app (More information in Norwegian here)

Ferry:

Manual ticket sales suspended on ferries (passengers without AutoPASS). This will apply until further notice. 

Ticket sales that can be completed without physical contact between crew member and passenger will continue. We are working on finding alternative solutions where needed. 

Skyss is dependent on fare revenue to keep public transport services operational. It is therefore important that all passengers obtain a valid ticket for their journey, even though some of the payment solutions have been suspended. This is a challenging situation, and we all have to do our part.
