Practical information

Give a clear signal

Remember to clearly signal to the bus driver with your hand when waiting at a bus stop. This lets the bus driver know you want him to stop. It is also a good idea to have your money or card ready.

Luggage

Passengers are allowed hand luggage with a total maximum weight of 20 kg for each ticket. Passengers must store their luggage properly so that it is not in the way of other passengers, particularly at the entrance/exit.

It is free to bring prams, wheelchairs, skis etc. if there is space available on the bus.

Dogs and bicycle

If you want to bring your bicycle on the bus or Bergen Light Rail, you have to pay the same price as a child’s ticket for the bicycle, maximum NOK 40. You also have to pay the same price as a child’s ticket for dogs on a bus, although guide dogs travel for free.

Children

Children from the age of 4 to 15 pay a child’s fare to travel by bus og Bergen Light Rail. Children over the age of 15 pay an adult’s fare.

Safety

Skyss always puts safety first and ask you to follow the rules below:
• Fasten your seatbelt (mandatory)
• Hold children by the hand when entering/exiting
• Put the brakes on prams (also applies to wheeled walkers and wheelchairs)
• Keep a tight hold of loose objects (bags, backpacks etc.)
• Wear reflective clothing when dark
• Do not cross the road until the bus has left the bus stop

Have a good trip!
